Several former ministers and key functionaries from the AIADMK have joined TVK. However, CV Shanmugam and C Vijayabaskar—members of the AIADMK faction that had been supportive of TVK—have yet to make a decision. Reports indicate that both are deeply aggrieved with Vijay for failing to fulfill the promises he made.
